This was the first ever drawing I did, back in July 2022.
I found Shannon Mullin on Youtube, this was one of her full tutorials. I would highly recommend you go check Shannon out and also Becca Barron on youtube. They are both exceptional coloured pencil artists. They will teach you so much and have you hooked like me.
I find doing eyes the easiest. The fur of an animal I struggle with even to this day. My brain is telling me all the time you are doing it wrong and it’s a huge stumbling block for me.
Hopefully this year I will improve on that and feel comfier doing fur. You know what I have to do and that is more fur studies.
This drawing is also on my bedroom office wall and also makes me smile because it was where I first got the passion for drawing and oh the smell of pencils when you open a tin.
Enough for now. I will add some more of my older drawings here and there. I think I’ve now drawn about 55 drawing since July 2022. I did take a lot of time out over the past 2 years for personal reasons but I’m so glad I’m back drawing again.
It helps my mental health so much, I can switch off for an hour or so for all the things that get you down in life.
