I have this gorgeous tiger that I have started. The highly talented Amii Harwood has already drawn one half of her tiger. Amii decided to show other budding coloured pencil artists how she draws the other side. So he offered to do it for free on several Youtube live meetings twice a week.

I think she started either last week or the week before. I didn’t join in on the lives but I had the chance to purchase for a small one off fee access to the recordings.

This certainly is going to put me out of my comfort zone and making me draw from my own skill knowledge to do the left hand side because Amii is only showing us how she does the right side of the face. Obviously it isn’t a mirror image and there is no right or wrong way of doing this.

So the big question for me is – can I complete this challenge? Follow my progress and see. I will be pushed to my limits to do this but if I can then I know I can truly draw. Without being prompted. (Secretly I know I can but my head says I can’t) I now rarely rely on tutorials, I do tend to drift off and do what I see.
